The Climate Litigation Network (CLN) was established in 2015 by the Urgenda Foundation. In November 2023, CLN became an independent not-for-profit foundation. It continues to work with partners around the world to bring ground-breaking litigation against high-emitting actors to drive stronger climate action.

In memoriam: Marjan Minnesma
Director of the Urgenda Foundation
Marjan passed away 22 May 2026. She believed in CLN and the power of climate litigation to bring hope to people around the world, and was committed to seeing CLN and the movement succeed. Marjan went on to be the inaugural chair of the CLN board in 2023.
